Nintendo’s July 2025 Partner Showcase: Hits, Misses, and Mouse-Sized Adventures
Nintendo’s latest Partner Showcase landed last night, and depending on who you ask, it was either a sleeper hit or just... slept through. These third-party focused Directs have long had a reputation as the Direct Family’s black sheep, and while this one didn’t entirely escape that legacy, it did serve up a mix of surprises, sequels, and shadow drops to keep fans on their toes.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Set for release in 2025 on the Nintendo Switch 2, this brand-new entry promises the signature turn-based monster-riding drama with a darker, mysterious twist.
The Return of a Classic: Plants vs. Zombies Remastered
The OG lawn defence game is coming back, cleaned up, remastered, and ready to remind you why you were obsessed in 2010.
Once Upon a Katamari - Out October 24, 2025
A time-travelling Katamari? Sign us up. This original game rolls through historical periods, includes character customisation, and even brings online multiplayer into the mix.
Just Dance 2026 – Out October 14, 2025
Ubisoft keeps the party going with more tracks and a shiny new co-op party mode. Although we aren't too suprised by this announcement, it's coming ready to make us sweat.
Chillin’ By the Fire
This relaxing little title was quietly dropped during the Showcase, and it’s available to play right now. Cozy vibes and all. We may be rushing to install this one after we finish this update.
Hela - A Tiny Adventure with Big Heart
You play as a mouse (This had us SOLD) exploring a forest, complete with four-player co-op. Coming in 2026.
The Adventure of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
Square Enix dropped a fresh surprise with this new action RPG. You play as a boy named Elliot and his fairy companion as they set off on a magical journey. A demo is available now, with full release planned for 2026.
Octopath Traveler 0 – Out December 1, 2025
The Showcase closed with the reveal of a new Octopath Traveler game. Gorgeous HD-2D visuals, orchestral vibes, and all the narrative layering fans love, it’s set to be a December highlight.
