BABYMETAL’s 2026 Aussie Return: Arena Dates, Tickets & BLOODYWOOD Support

Australia, brace yourselves. Global metal phenomenon BABYMETAL are returning Down Under in 2026, and this time, they’re bringing the unstoppable force that is BLOODYWOOD for a national arena takeover this March. The fusion of Japanese metal innovation and Indian metal megawatt energy is set to ignite stages from Perth to Brisbane, marking one of the biggest heavy music moments of the year.

Kicking off Thursday 12 March in Perth, BABYMETAL’s Australian 2026 tour will hit Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and wrap up in Brisbane on Sunday 22 March. For fans of genre-bending, high-octane performances and world-class metal theatrics, this tour is about to be essential viewing.

Born in Tokyo in 2010, BABYMETAL have built one of the most unique legacies in modern music, fusing explosive heavy metal with the precision, charm and choreography of Japanese idol culture. Over the past 15 years, the trio have evolved from viral curiosity into a global powerhouse, earning millions of fans, five studio albums, major awards, and high-profile collaborations with artists including Tom Morello, Spiritbox, Electric Callboy, and of course, BLOODYWOOD.

Their latest record, METAL FORTH (2025), cemented their place in music history as the first all-Japanese act to break the Billboard 200 Top 10, with their relentless global touring schedule taking them from Knotfest Australia earlier this year to packed arenas in Europe, the UK, North America, and a massive headline show in Mexico.

Australian fans know exactly what to expect when BABYMETAL hit the stage, and they know it’s far beyond anything “normal” metal can deliver. From their debut Aussie appearance at Good Things Festival in 2018 to their 2023 headline run and this year’s explosive Knotfest sets, the group have consistently blown crowds away. Everblack Media praised their Brisbane show as “a meticulously crafted fusion of precision and power”, while Volume Media described their headline debut as an experience that “transcended cultural boundaries, generational boundaries, and genre boundaries.”

On the other side of this sonic storm are BLOODYWOOD, India’s most internationally celebrated heavy band and an undeniable global success story. Formed in 2016 and initially gaining traction through YouTube covers, BLOODYWOOD quickly became a breakout sensation, melding Indian folk instrumentation, hip hop energy, thunderous metal riffs and lyrics that confront social issues with unapologetic heart.

In 2025, they released Nu Delhi, a ferocious and deeply personal tribute to their home city’s music scene, earning major acclaim and a passionate worldwide following. The album also features their electrifying collab with BABYMETAL on the track Bekhauf, adding even more fuel to the hype around their long-awaited Australian arrival.

With performances at Hellfest, Download Festival and multiple sold-out international tours, BLOODYWOOD are poised to deliver one of the most unforgettable heavy music debuts the country has ever witnessed.

Between BABYMETAL’s arena-ready theatrical metal universe and BLOODYWOOD’s blistering, multilingual, culture-defying energy, this tour promises a once-in-a-lifetime moment for Australian metal fans—and a powerful showcase of the global future of heavy music.
