Persona 4 Revival Is Official: ATLUS Teases a Return to Inaba in New Remake
ATLUS has officially confirmed what fans have long hoped for: Persona 4 Revival is real, and it’s coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The beloved RPG classic is being reborn for modern platforms, and while a release date hasn’t been revealed just yet, Persona 4 Revival will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Originally released on PlayStation 2 and later remastered as Persona 4 Golden on PS Vita and PC, Persona 4 is often hailed as one of the greatest JRPGs of all time. Now, ATLUS is giving it the full remake treatment, presumably in the style of Persona 3 Reload, with upgraded visuals, modernised gameplay, and quality-of-life improvements that will introduce the story to a whole new generation.

Set in the sleepy rural town of Inaba, Persona 4 follows a group of high school students as their lives are upended by a string of eerie murders and the legend of a mysterious TV channel that appears only on rainy nights. As they dive into an alternate world beyond the television screen, they confront deadly Shadows, and their own hidden selves, in a powerful story about friendship, truth, and growing up.
The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much, but it’s already clear that Persona 4 Revival will honour the emotional depth and charm of the original while delivering a fresh, stylish upgrade.
Whether you’re returning to Inaba or stepping into the Velvet Room for the first time, Persona 4 Revival looks set to make your next high school year anything but ordinary.
