A Chaotic, Post-Apo Game Show Where the 1% Pays the Price

What happens when the world finally turns on the ultra-rich? According to Eat the Rich, you get one hell of a twisted game show.

Unveiled at the Southeast Asian Games Showcase during Summer Game Fest, Eat the Rich is a post-apocalyptic social deception party game from publisher Monstronauts and developer Maccima Games. It officially launches on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on July 23, 2025, with console and mobile releases coming later.

In this satirical, over-the-top spin on class warfare, players take on the role of cartoonishly corrupt billionaires forced to compete in a sadistic TV show created by the very society they helped destroy. Think Squid Game meets Survivor, with a touch of Monopoly madness, except this time, the board fights back.

Trust Funds, Not Friends

Gameplay is built around forming (and immediately betraying) fragile alliances, gaining insider info, and avoiding being voted off the show. You’ll participate in absurd mini-games based on real-life rich-people shenanigans like Tax Evasion, Crypto Miners, and a literal shooting gallery. Rack up “hard-earned” cash, stash it in your vault, and use it to sabotage your fellow fatcats.

And yes, there are vending machines, but with billionaire-grade perks. Use them to steal votes, avoid elimination, or pin the blame on someone else. Because why face consequences when you can buy your way out?

Dress to Depress (Everyone Else)

Customise your capitalist character with unlockable top and bottom pieces, accessories, and outfits that scream wealth-hoarding villainy. The fashion? Think luxury-meets-apocalypse.

“We think everyone deserves a way to EAT THE RICH!” said Allen Tan, CEO of Monstronauts. “We hope this slice of chaos brings some catharsis in a time where the have-nots are constantly taken advantage of by you-know-who.”

Eat the Rich launches on PC (Steam & Epic) on July 23, 2025, with more platforms coming soon. You can keep up with the chaos by checking out the official website, joining the community on Discord, or following Monstronauts on socials.
